Meet Abbey

Abbey has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for the past twelve years. She is passionate about the education of young children and the importance of a balanced, creative and comprehensive approach to curriculum. Learn’ique, Little Learners Studio, and Design-to-Learn are the representation of her vision and mission to instill a sense of joy and curiosity in her young students. In addition to her career in teaching, Abbey has a passion for creating unique and adaptable learning environments for young children and their families. Her strong understanding of child development, combined with her coursework in interior design concepts, have inspired her Design-to-Learn™ services intended to facilitate “livable, learnable spaces” at home.

Maria Caballero

Meet Maria

Throughout her career in the field of early childhood education Maria has had the opportunity to facilitate curriculum in a wide variety of curricular areas including art, music, literacy and physical education. Maria strives to foster a positive learning environment for all students, and believes in establishing trusting relationships with the children and families that she works with. In addition to her love of teaching Maria is an avid cook and art enthusiast who loves spending time with her family and singing with her church choir. Maria’s main priority is to ensure that each and every child is provided with the resources to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Michele Dennis

Curriculum Coordinator

Meet Michele

Michele has been a Rye resident for many years following her move to New York from her native Australia. She and her husband have raised their five, beautiful children as part of the community. Michele finds great joy in working with young children and brings a lively and energetic spirit to her work at the Little Learners Studio. In addition to teaching, Michele is an active runner who has competed in several triathlons over the past few years. She enjoys the outdoors and traveling with her family.

Jenna Sottile

Associate Program Instructor

Meet Jenna

Ms. Jenna Sottile received a degree in elementary and special education from Marist College, as well as a Masters in Literacy from College of New Rochelle. She taught Elementary school for several years as a general education teacher and a special education teacher in a co-teaching class. While taking a little time off to be home with her children, she worked part time in a medical facility as a psycho-educational therapist, tutoring small groups of children in literacy and helping them to meet their socio-emotional goals. Ms. Jenna is very excited to have the opportunity to work with preschool-aged children and looks forward to being a part of the Learn’ique team!

Joanna Levine

Music Specialist

Meet Joanna

An active singer-songwriter and musician, Joanna has has graced stages small and large (she sang back-up for the band Dispatch at Madison Square Garden last summer!) and for audiences young (with her children’s duo- Joanna’s ‘n Bananas, featuring her husband Rob) and older (with her roots-rock band Pinkwing). She has taught guitar and ukulele lessons, and has lead children’s sing- alongs and music classes throughout NYC and surrounding areas over the past 6+ years.
