It is never too early to start preparing your child for success in school. Little Learners Kinder-Prep program is designed to support preschool-aged children in developing the skills that they will need for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Direct instruction and discovery play will prepare children by supporting their development in the following areas: letter recognition, letter-sound association, pre-reading skills, sight-word recognition, and writing development. Additionally, children will participate in pro-social activities pertaining to math and science. Masters level teachers will work with children individually and in small groups divided by developmental age and skill level.
A typical enrichment session will include:
+ Literacy, language, and writing instruction facilitated by the multi-sensory curriculum Get Set for School / Handwriting Without Tears.
+ Math and fine motor instruction facilitated by a variety of hands-on materials/activities.
+ Science and sensory discovery play intended to promote critical thinking skills.
+ Weekly newsletter highlighting curriculum specific highlights and activities.
Includes 30-minute lunch or snack extension.
